Transfer News LIVE updates: Van Dijk to Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal latest gossip

Transfer News LIVE: All the latest gossip, rumours and every done deal as Philippe Coutinho continues to push for a move to Barcelona.

8:30am: Chelsea are reportedly plotting a raid on Tottenham for England international Danny Rose.

The 27-year-old voiced concerns in an interview with The Sun last week about Spurs' lack of transfer action.

And the same newspaper now claim Antonio Conte wants to get him on-board for Chelsea's Premier League title defence.

The Blues take on Tottenham at Wembley this Sunday, hoping to bounce back from last weekend's shock defeat to Burnley.

And The Sun reckon they could lodge a £50m bid for Rose hours after the full-time whistle goes in an attempt to bolster their defence.

7:40am: Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho is so desperate to join Barcelona that he’s prepared to jeopardise his international career.

That’s according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, who claim the 25-year-old has told Jurgen Klopp he does not intend to play for the Reds in future.

Coutinho has been the subject of two bids worth £72m and £90m from Barcelona this summer, both of which were rejected.

But he wants to sign for the La Liga giants and is willing to never pull on the Liverpool shirt again to ensure they’ll sell him.

That situation could see Coutinho left out of Brazil’s squad for next year’s World Cup - a risk he’s apparently willing to take.

7:10am: Chelsea gaffer Antonio Conte still wants to sign Andrea Belotti from Torino this summer.

The Italian brought Alvaro Morata to England as Diego Costa's replacement last month in a deal worth £70m.

But Starsport understands he remains unconvinced by Michy Batshuayi and is keen to snare an alternative.

Conte's first-choice is Belotti, who smashed in 26 goals in 35 appearances for Torino last season.

However, the Serie A side are demanding a whopping £80m to let him leave before the transfer window shuts.

6:30am: Manchester United could still get their hands on Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale.

That's according to beIN Sports journalist Richard Keys, who claims a deal is possible until the end of the transfer window.

Bale has been heavily linked with United this summer with Real keen to generate funds to sign Kyiian Mbappe from Monaco.

And Keys reckons Jose Mourinho could snare the 28-year-old - despite the United boss suggesting he was unavailable.

On Twitter, a fan asked Keys: "Hi Richard, still think there is legs in the Bale to United deal?"

And he replied: "Until the window shuts I do."

5:40am: Atletico Madrid are wary of getting involved in Diego Costa's row with Chelsea, despite wanting to re-sign the striker.

According to the Daily Mail, Diego Simeone's side are prepared to pay £40million for Costa this month.

The Chelsea goalscorer would not be able to play for Atletico until mid-season, although he is currently AWOL anyway.

Costa is in exile and refusing to train with the Under-23s, opting to stay with his family in Brazil for now instead.

Costa has provided an account of his story recently, and it has led to an ugly row between player and club.

As a result, Atletico are reluctant to get involved so they don't damage their relationship with Chelsea.

5:10am: Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard is torn over how the club should approach the Philippe Coutinho situation.
Barcelona are strongly pursuing the Brazilian playmaker and Gerrard acknowledges it would be a risk to keep Coutinho against his will.

"It is very very difficult, especially for the owners of Liverpool football club who are going to be under big, big pressure from our supporters at Liverpool to keep hold of Coutinho," Gerrard told BT Sport.

When asked if it's worth keeping a disgruntled player anyway, Gerrard replied: "Yes and No.

"You'd like to think that Philippe's professional enough, once the transfer window's out the way, to pick himself up and be professional enough to get on with it.
